Workouts, women and shoes and come have breakfast with us
The shoe thing
So, when you live in trainers/sneakers you begin to develop an eye for other people’s footwear and this very thing happened today.
My Body Pump instructor was wearing a lovely pair of pink sneakers that I was admiring during set up and I was so in admiration that I felt compelled to comment upon their beauty.
Here are said items:
Aren’t they the bomb?! And they are from Baltimore’s very own Charm City 🙂
We all began to coo and fuss over the lovely things that adorned Bonnie’s feet and an earnest conversation about workout footwear suitability, colour and bounce ensued.
It tickled me muchly because in any state or form, women will certainly admire each others’ shoes.
And, as Bonnie rightly declared, “We live in these things – we gotta like them!”
Mean face
I am very smiley, as we have discovered, in my workouts. But today I added weight to my clean and press and that addition of weight meant that I had to put in more effort, which in turn meant that I had to pull a face. I was not aware that I was pulling a face, but that I was, and apparently it was my ‘mean face’ (thank God it was my ‘mean face’…. 🙂 )
So when I am lifting I pull a mean face. I am going to try smiling beautifully next time, but I am not sure I will pull it off.
Anyhow, the upside is that I lifted well today and, boy, those abs got a seeing to.
Woop woop! 🙂
Blog breakfast in Baltimore
This blog is hosted by these wonderful folks at the Baltimore Post-Examiner, and this Saturday morning I’m having a blog breakfast with them in Baltimore at the Daily Grind in Fells Point at 10 a.m. Readers who read the blogs are invited and get to meet us and we get to talk blog-tastic things. I will be coming from taking Zumba class, so I will be v sweaty, but I guess that’s appropriate, because readers might not recognize me with my clothes on – I mean my regular clothes on…. 😉
