Maryland is the best place for women to live in America
Apparently, the best place in America to be a woman is Maryland. Well, that’s good to know! Maryland has the biggest opportunities for high-level jobs, money and healthcare, according to the non-partisan educational institute called the Center for American Progress.
When it comes to economics, leadership and health, women fair best in Maryland – the state received a grade of “A” when it comes to women having the lowest wage gap, high ranking jobs and a low poverty rate.
The state of Louisiana came in dead last with a grade of “F”. 🙁
Hawaii ranked just after Maryland as the second best place for women to live.
I think I might just like to try Hawaii at some point!
This news makes me happy to be a woman in Maryland, though I know it’s not picture perfect for everyone……

Why so tired?
I am often tired. So busy, working out, writing and looking after stuff. We’re all busy, and we all get tired. I wish I had loved sleeping as much in my youth as I do now; then at least I had the time to take advantage of it, but I never did – I just stayed up partying.
Now, I crave sleep. I wish I could lie-in and sleep soundly, but the truth is I’m not a great sleeper, and lack of sleep can have a significant impact on they way we feel.
For one, lack of sleep can wreak havoc on your immune system, ability to function and eating habits. Yep, that sounds like me!
So, I’m going to start Yoga – Bikram Yoga to be exact. Yep, I’m going to go in and get all hot and sweaty – apparently, it’s perfect for getting you sleeping soundly; just what I need.
Bikram Yoga can help with de-stressing and is a great way in order to get rid of your ‘always tired’ feeling. It relaxes the body and focuses the mind. Of course, it’s also a total sweat-fest, but it also claims to cleanse you and purge you. I’m up for a bit of cleansing and purging!
Wish me luck!
