4 Celebrity Couples That Are Happily Un-Married

It seems that in this modern day and age divorce is as popular a choice for many couples as marriage, which is why some celebrity couples may choose to remain happily un-married. We will take a closer look at four famous couples who have defied the public’s expectations by remaining together through the thick and thin without exchanging rings and spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a big day.

1.RYAN GOSLING & EVA MENDES 

Gosling, the star of many Hollywood movies including La La Land has been in a relationship with fellow actress Eva Mendes for seven years after meeting on the set of 2011’s The Place Beyond the Pines. So far, they have had two daughters together, Esmeralda and Amada. Speaking to GQ Magazine back in 2016 Gosling was raving that “Eva’s the dream mother” and when talking about becoming a father to his two daughters he said that “it’s like a dream that I’m having right now.” Ryan and Eva are happily un-married.

2.OPRAH WINFREY & STEDMAN GRAHAM

Oprah has been together with her boyfriend Stedman for over 30 years and counting having made a pledge to one another that they will never get married. Speaking to Vogue Magazine about the chat she had with Stedman, Oprah recalls that “the only time I brought it up was when I said to Stedman, ‘What would have happened if we had actually gotten married?’ And the answer is: ‘We wouldn’t be together.’ We would not have stayed together, because marriage requires a different way of being in this world.” Adding that “his interpretation of what it means to be a husband and what it would mean for me to be a wife would have been pretty traditional,” she said, “and I would not have been able to fit into that.” You would have a higher chance of winning a few games on New Jersey casinos than seeing Oprah and Stedman tie the knot. Oprah and Stedman are happily un-married.

3. RICKY GERVAIS & JANE FALLON

56-year-old British comedian Ricky Gervais and girlfriend Jane Fallon have been together for over 30 years. In this time, Gervais said that “I don’t think there’s any point to us getting married,” adding: “We don’t want any more toasters, we never want our families to meet, that would be terrible.” In April, Ricky tweeted to his followers his feelings about picking up Jane from hospital following a leg operation. This surely is a glimpse into their healthy relationship and we can more than assume that Ricky and Jane are happily un-married.


4. GOLDIE HAWN & KURT RUSSELL

Another power couple that wouldn’t consider getting married is Goldie and Kurt. Speaking about compatibility and communication, Goldie Hawn who has been together with fellow Hollywood star Kurt Russel since 1983 said that “A lasting relationship isn’t about marriage,” adding that “you both need to want it to work. If one person does not want it to work, it isn’t going to work. Intention is the key.” Goldie and Kurt are happily un-married.
