Rams fever in Southern California
OXNARD, CA — The biggest news in the NFL right now is which team will call Los Angeles home. There has been a lot of talk about the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders going to a new stadium in Carson, but the speculation now turns to St. Louis and the Rams. The team’s owner, Stan Kroenke, has bought land in Inglewood, CA for a new stadium and sports/shopping complex, but no decision has been made.
This week the Rams are training in Southern California for three days, in Oxnard. The first two days of practice will be with the Dallas Cowboys, who just lost a game to the San Diego Chargers.
The Cowboys have trained in Oxnard before and often invite another team to join them for a few days. This year it was the St. Louis Rams.
Everyone in Rams management will tell you the speculation about the Rams moving and their practice in Oxnard are unrelated.
My video report from Monday’s practice is below.
