Healthy Howard made me SWEAT!
Sweaty!
So June 2 was Healthy Howard day at Centennial Park, Columbia and super healthy it was too with a whole range of different exercises going on, but super hot it also was, and boy did we get a sweat on!
I got in to gear to help lead an early bootcamp and run, and took Zumba, Tae Bo and Piloxing classes. All in 75 degree heat. Yowsers!
With free healthy food, massages (I had one and it sure got rid of some of that tension – must stretch more after weights apparently!) and give aways, the event rocked with the healthy message getting through to all who participated.
I met Brenda, who is an inspiration and fitness goddess, and worked out alongside people from the Columbia Association and my master trainer chum (and Miss Fitness Maryland) Clara Paris. Love her.
Healthy is as healthy does, my friends. And now for a shower, because I don’t think I’ve sweated like that in a long, long time!
It felt good, and it feels great to be part of such a healthy, vibrant community.
Rock on.
