Glorious Day
Can you see the golden meadows ?
Can you hear the children sing ?
Are you trapped inside the moment ?
No water left inside the spring ?
Where were you when Rome was burning ?
Lost inside some secret cell ?
Too far gone to think of heaven ?
Resigned to live inside your hell ?
There’s a glimpse that slips through the dark somehow
There’s a light that cuts through the grey
You can lay your burdens upon him now
I can see a Glorious Day
Not a thing can kill the sadness
Not a thing can ease the pain
If you’re honest in the long run
You’ll see the evil’s had his reign
Look at all he’s taken from you
All your dignity and hope
Still deep inside you sense a longing
While clinging tight on to your rope
Forget the lies, you’re not defeated
Embrace the Way, the Truth, the Life
Look to the sky a bright tomorrow
Is shining for you in the night
