116th German Festival returns to the Timonium Fairgrounds
The 116th annual German Festival returns to the Timonium Fairgrounds July 23rd and 24th for a weekend of lederhosen, beer, food, and Gemütlichkeit! The festival will be held in the air-conditioned Exhibition Hall. Gates open at 11:30 both days, with lots of fun for the whole family. There will be German bands — including The Continentals and Alex Meixner, and traditional singing and dance groups. Of course we will have German food, German and domestic beer, wine, schnapps, and non-alcoholic beverages. Vendors will display and sell German crafts, clothing, and collectables. For kids, there are a rock-climbing wall, face painting, and puppet shows.
Admission is $8.00; children under 12 are free with a paying adult; seniors and active military with ID are $6.00. Mastercard and VISA will be accepted and there are ATMs on the premises. Festivities end at 10:00 pm Saturday and 6:00 pm Sunday. There is ample free parking — or take the light rail to the Timonium Fairgrounds stop. Don’t miss all the fun at the German Festival.
