Unexpected Ways
In the silence of the shadows, in the stillness of the night
In the place that’s void of meaning, you shine your holy light
In unexpected ways you show your glory
With faith enough to give a blind man sight
The radio was playing an old familiar song
I was struck with how your spirit moved in centuries long gone
The words rang just as true today as ever
With hope set on a place where our hearts long
The unifying power of your presence
And witness from the clouds who went before
Encourage us each day to keep on running
The race that leads us onward
The race that leads us homeward
The race the leads us on to heaven’s door
In the silence of the shadows, in the stillness of the night
In the place that’s void of meaning, you shine your holy light
In unexpected ways you show your glory
With faith enough to give a blind man sight
