Sebastian Cruz Couture On The Trend of Modernizing Suits

It might be difficult to believe but there was a time, not too long ago, when the Hollywood red carpet was filled with men wearing the same black and white tuxedos and navy-blue suits. Whilst these will always be a classic look, it saw the men of tinsel town fading into the background as the women played the lead.

But thanks to the modernization of the classic male suit, the likes of Harry Styles, Timothée Chalamet, and Sam Asghari have been spotted wearing looks that put a spin on the classic suit.

Suit-able for the Red Carpet

Impactful prints have proven to be a staple in the wardrobe of the modern Hollywood male—as they shone on the red carpet as a favorite this year. A leading example is the Gucci suit that Harry Styles sported to the Brit Awards, which saw him stand out in his ’70s, wallpaper-esque fit. The look instantly drew attention on the red carpet with its graphic appeal.

As did Sam Asghari, who was recently spotted wearing an exquisite Lino Tweed Suit by Sebastian Cruz Couture. Whilst Asghari was photographed with his fiance, Britney Spears, his suit stole the show. The house of Sebastian Cruz Couture is renowned for its modern take on not just suits but also for its revolutionary take on the high fashion industry as a whole.

Leading the Way For Luxury Fashion

The house of Sebastian Cruz Couture was founded in 2013 by Cesar and Natasha Cruz. The name is inspired by the couple’s to-be-born son Sebastian and is in essence a product of their love for each other and fashion.

The brand had originally been created to exclusively sell pocket squares that would stay in place. The couple came up with a patent-pending design that involved utilizing a hand crochet border and a combination of 100% Turkish cotton. This allowed for the pocket square to grip onto the fabric of the jacket and thus prevent it from slipping. The brand has since grown and is now well known for its unique variety of linen pocket squares, jackets, shoes, and accessories.

Co-founder Natasha Cruz shares, “We love to empower people to dress well. Firstly, we do this by inspiring and educating them, but that’s not all. For us, the fabrics and workmanship are also important. We work with quality producers in France, Italy, and England.” She adds, “The Italian mills that produce our fabrics  work with the best in the fashion business like Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Hermes, and Fendi.”

Since its inception, Sebastian Cruz Couture has been worn by several renowned personalities such as Russell Wilson, Marcus Scribner, and Rami Malek. However, the brand’s focus is not on Hollywood, but rather on making luxury fashion available to anyone.

“Our statements are bold and fashionable because they cater to our client’s expectations, whether they are celebrities or not,” says founder, and CEO of Sebastian Cruz Couture, Cesar Cruz. He adds, “Each collection is a play of different fabrics, contrasting textures, and color combinations, making our brand unique.”

Making High Fashion Available Online

With the rapid boom in e-commerce, it is difficult to understand why so many luxury fashion brands refuse to integrate e-commerce into their global markets. Sebastian Cruz Couture has positioned itself as a Direct-to-Consumer eCommerce luxury menswear brand that is able to ship across the globe.

Whilst some fashion houses, like Chanel for instance, frown upon online shopping for luxury fashion as clients “need to be in the fitting room. You need to have a tailor who alters the clothes to fit exactly to your body.” Sebastian Cruz Couture has found an innovative solution to this problem as each client has a custom pattern of their individual fit on file. This allows designers to create a tailored fit that can be delivered to a customer’s door. Once an order is placed, the garments will take approximately 8-12 business days to make and will usually take between 2-3 days to be distributed, with the items being shipped internationally via UPS & DHL.

Final Thoughts

Suits are a staple in any gentleman’s closet, and whilst the classic tuxedo will never go out of style– it helps to spice things up every once in a while. Sebastian Cruz Couture has given the fashion industry a new twist on the classic, with their bold prints and tailored fits.
