Getting lean and clean
So, I’ve been hitting the protein shakes and all sorts this week, along with pumping up the weights, jumping like a looney in cardio and toning up with conditioning.
It seems to have made no difference whatsoever.
But I do have more energy, and this, in part, is due to the protein intake.
This is breakfast today:
Raspberries
- Blueberries
- Greek yoghurt
- Protein powder
- Spinach
….and it was delicious (when blended).
But, the afternoon meltdown of cakes and biscuits still exists, so I will never be totally lean and clean if this carries on. And we’re taking a road trip to the South this weekend, so I will be plagued by deep fried zucchini and Creole hot pots of lushness. Still, life is to be lived!
Best get myself a handful of almonds and prepare to get my butt to conditioning class.
