Cartoonist KAL at Atomic Books for book talk
My favorite editorial cartoonist, KAL (Kevin Kallaugher), was at the Atomic Books on Tuesday in Hampden. Over the years he has done more than 8,000 cartoons. Most of them were for “The Economist” and plenty, too, for The Baltimore Sun.. KAL recently has created some illustrations for the “Raven’s Brewery Poe” line of beers. But the main purpose of the evening’s fun was for KAL to sign copies of and discuss his latest book: “Daggers Drawn: 35 Years of KAL Cartoons in ‘The Economist.” KAL hosted the program. He was introduced by the Atomic Books’ co-owner Benn Ray.
(The bar is open at the AB and it looks great.)
The book is available at Atomic Books.
