The BoatHouse sails in with new hearty winter dishes
Canton’s waterfront restaurant, the BoatHouse, is way more than that beautiful waterfront view and al fresco dining. The restaurant boasts an active bar and multi-level dining rooms. The BoatHouse is the full package: lunch, happy hour, dinner and brunch on the weekends.
A recent visit during the holidays for a tasting of their new winter dishes didn’t disappoint with chicken pot pie – farm raised chunks of chicken and veggies in a cream sauce with a flaky pie crust, Crisfield chicken – topped with lump crab, leeks, mushrooms and country ham in an herb Dijon cream sauce, Portuguese seafood stew – shrimp, cod, clams, mussels and calamari in a saffron broth and the cinnamon bakes apple in pastry. This is not to say that you won’t find your favorites still on the menu, especially the raw bar, crab dip and Boathouse wings.
Stop by for happy hour Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 7 pm and get your “buck a shuck” oysters, half price steamed shrimp and mussels — a selection of draft beers $4, rail drinks $5.
Got a pooch? Mark your calendar for the Pop Up Puppy Bar, this Thursday, February 22nd from 5 to 10 pm. Walk your dog right off the Waterfront Promenade and into BoatHouse Canton for some unexpected fun. Join them for the Pop Up Puppy Bar in their enclosed, heated back-terrace for an evening of drinks & dining with man’s best friend.
