The Death of Walt Disney: Playwright’s agenda mars penetrating production at Single Carrot Theatre
Last Sunday, Shelley Vavoom and I attended a matinee of Lucas Hnath’s controversial play “The Death of Walt Disney” at Single Carrot Theater in Baltimore, Maryland. The actors did a wondeful job with a challenging script and a lot of little touches really elevate this production. Unfortunately, the playwright took liberties with the characters and mis-represented Disney and others, which was kind of an assinine thing to do.
Later, I hosted a round table discussion with the cast of “The Death of Walt Disney.” From left to right in the second video below: Matthew Shea, Meghan Stanton, Abigail Caddy, Eric Poch, Paul Diem, Leonard Kinsey. Intro trailer by Brian Gilbert. Thanks to Meghan Stanton at Single Carrot for getting this organized!
