MLB All-Star Home Run Derby and Gala
From Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio, home of the Cincinnati Reds and this year’s MLB All-Star Game. On Monday Major League Baseball held the Home Run Derby, but early in the day we weren’t sure if it take place — we had a downpour of rain. But it cleared up and the competition took place on time.
Did you know the Home Run Derby has rules? It does and they seem to change every year. This year the derby was run as a single elimination tournament, like the NCAA basketball tournament.

Part of the festivities include the All-Star Gala, which this year took place at the Cincinnati Museum Center and Union Terminal. There were bands and lots of food and drinks, as everyone got ready for the big game.
