Maryland Film Festival brings out some iconic directors and great movies
It’s hard to believe, but this is the 15th year of the Maryland Film Festival.
It has been bringing in film fans, great movies, Hollywood iconic directors and also documentary and video makers, to its main location the Charles Theatre on north Charles Street and to others sites, like MICA, as well.
And, the guy who has been in charge of this annual filmathon, Jed Dietz, has by all accounts been doing a first-rate job. On Sunday I got a chance to chat with Jed about the current showings, plus a little bit of the festival’s history; its importance to “Station North,” and to Bmore; and our own John Waters’s role in all of this.
