Flickering Treasures: Book talk with author and photojournalist Amy Davis
Journalist Amy Davis discussed Tuesday her book-in-progress, “Flickering Treasures: Rediscovering Baltimore’s Forgotten Movie Theaters.” She presented a slide show of some of vintage photos of the once-grand movie theaters of the city, as they appeared during the golden-age of movie going. The book promises to “discover the gritty cinematic ghosts still haunting the streets of Baltimore.” To learn more about this trip down memory lane, which eventually will include reflections from Barry Levinson, John Waters, and many others movie buffs, famous and otherwise, click here. The event was held at the Kol Halev Synagogue on North Charles Street in Baltimore.
