An Independent Voter’s Thoughts On Barack Obama’s Lecture: Demanding Black Men Vote For Kamala Harris
Barack Obama said the following about Black men considering not voting for Kamala Harris to become President of the United States: “Part of it makes me think that, well, you just aren’t feeling the idea of having a woman as president, and you’re coming up with other alternatives and other reasons for that,” he said to Harris-Walz campaign volunteers and officials at a field office in Pittsburgh on Thursday.
In response to Barack Obama’s recent public lecture to Black men on why we should vote for Kamala Harris to become President of the United States, I’ll pass on that lecture. I don’t need any old House Negro to tell me who to vote for.
First of all, Black people are not monolithic. Although race-hustlers like Obama and his Liberal Masters hate the idea of independent Black thought, we are as diverse in our politics as any other group. I have always seen Obama as a liberal extremist with unwarranted arrogance. However, the fact that he would publicly lecture Black men like he was an overseer on a slave plantation, was the last straw for me.
Apparently, it has never occurred to Mr. Obama that some Black men make determinations about people, voting, and life in general beyond skin color. Obama’s obsession with skin color is due to the fact that he’s a race-hustler who has profited from his skin color his whole life. He isn’t where he is today because he claimed to be a ½ White Kenyan African. He’s where he is today because he claimed to be a Black American. He used the legacy of the African slaves in America and their descendants to advance his career and launch himself into the US Senate and ultimately the White House, by making appeals to Americans especially Black Americans, that we need to support him to be on the right side of history. Now he’s doing it again with Kamala Harris.
Once Obama got into the White House, he didn’t do a damn thing for Black people, especially Black men. His focus was on advancing a homosexual and socialist agenda. However, Mr. Obama went a step further and told Black people to their faces that he did not support their efforts to obtain reparations for slavery and institutionalized racism under Jim Crow laws. Instead, Obama preached about Black progress, being responsible fathers, and self-reliance. Yet, his whole life he has relied on Black people to advance his political career. When it was our turn to rely on him, we got nothing in return for our support of him.
May I remind you that before using Blacks in Illinois, primarily Chicago, to get elected into the US Senate, Obama’s resume read like this: part-time state senator, part-time university instructor, wrote unsuccessful books about his dead father, and was a “community organizer.” As Mitt Romney stated, “This guy didn’t even hang out a shingle.” (practice law) There wasn’t anything special about him when he ran for President and there isn’t anything special about him now.
He’s just an opportunist and a user. Black people have got to wake up and stop letting other people use them and give them nothing in return. Who the hell is he to lecture Black men about anything? It is the very identity of Black men that he has stolen and used to advance himself in life. He would be nothing without Black men.
As for Kamala and Black women like her running for public office, Black men have the right to make individual choices about which women, if any, they will support and vote for. Blind loyalty is for stupid people. Most Black men are not stupid.
For many years Black women have attacked Black men, denigrated them in public, undermined them, tried to control them, tell them who to vote for, tell them who to date and marry, and tell them what their politics should be, etc. Some Black women have a history of attacking Black men at the behest of their Liberal Masters. There is no doubt that there are White people who intentionally try to sow division between Black men and women. I have seen it first-hand in the workplace. I once had a Zairean African woman tell me that White people told her to spy on Black Americans in the office.
On the other hand, there is no shortage of Black women who on their own initiative have sold out their men, children, and the larger community for money, publicity, jobs, for an opportunity to be on tv, to be in a movie, book deals, to enter political office, etc. They have gone so far as to adopt the Liberal Agenda to the detriment of their own community. An agenda that is anti-Black, anti-family, and some would say anti-America. So, in addition to helping the larger society demonize Black men and not support them as husbands, fathers, leaders, etc., many high-profile Black Women demand that Black men buy into an agenda that at its core is against God (Homosexuality, Gay Marriage, Transgenderism, Abortion, Illegal Immigration, Anti-Law Enforcement, Decriminalization, etc.).
Even Black men on the left know this is unnatural. At their core Black men are godly men. They instinctively know evil and are against it—even Black men who are Democrats. Yet, many are cowards. How weak of a man do you have to be to be afraid to confront your own women engaged in self-destruction?
From a common sense stand point, are Black women so lacking in common sense and self-awareness that they believe they can constantly attack and denigrate Black men for decades then turn around and ask them for their support for anything? Ask Black men for our support to get elected into public office? Ask Black men for help to get the promotion at work? Ask Black men to support their businesses? Ask Black men to defend them when they mouth-off to the wrong people and suffer consequences? Ask Black men to date and marry them? Why would Black men support and defend women who are against them? Why would Black men want to build a life with Black women whose worldview is contrary to their own? Why would Black men support women who are willing to adopt any agenda but the godly Black Man’s Agenda? As far as the issue of Black men following Black women goes, the question becomes: Follow Black women where? Where can Black women lead Black men except to the feet of their Secular Liberal Masters (SLM)?
No Barack, Black men don’t need to come up with excuses for why we won’t vote for Kamala as a pretext to hide sexism. Margaret Thatcher was a woman. Joan of Arc was a Woman. Shirley Chisholm was a woman. However, the aforementioned women were strong independent women, not puppets to be controlled by the likes of you. They were women men gladly supported and voted for because they put country, family, and people before ambition and party. Maybe Black men just don’t want to vote for this particular woman.
It’s because of men like Willie Brown and Joe Biden that Kamala Harris had a successful career. Even when she was hired for attorney jobs or elected to public office as District Attorney, she used Brown’s influence to get ahead. Furthermore, Biden only picked her for his Vice President because she basically called him a white racist in a public debate. She has used Black people, her gender, and/or race her whole life to get ahead, just like Obama. Black men are free to decide whether or not they think Kamala is qualified to be President of the United States without lectures from Obama and race-hustlers like him.
For many Black men, a potential decision not to vote for Harris has nothing to do with her race or gender. Obama probably wouldn’t understand this, but our point of view isn’t always based on race and gender. Some Black men are more than just skin color and/or gender.
Some of us have character and we judge other people by the content of their character. Both Trump and Harris are extremely flawed candidates, and they both have records. So, I guess voters will have to decide: Who is “the lesser of two evils”?
Maybe Black men want a President who has good public/social policies for America. Maybe Black men want a President who is going to protect the border, reject forced vaccinations, protect unborn children, help small businesses, grow the economy, stand up to world leaders, protect our legal rights under the law, defend the First Amendment and Second Amendments of the United States Constitution, and hold criminals accountable for breaking the law, etc. Maybe Black men put good policies and country before skin color and gender.
Furthermore, Kamala has said she isn’t going to do anything specifically to help Black people. Compare her attitude about specifically helping Black Americans to her attitude about helping other groups. For example, the Biden-Harris administration has billions of dollars for the Ukraine war with Russia. The Biden-Harris administration also has hundreds of millions of dollars for illegal immigrants, but when it comes to Black Americans, the Biden-Harris administration doesn’t have any money for us.
Kamala Harris has already shown Black Americans who she is. We need to show her who we are. We are not slaves to be lectured to by the likes of Barack Obama. Black men don’t owe Kamala Harris anything and we will vote by our consciences.

As an independent voter, I found Barack Obama’s lecture on the importance of voting, particularly for Black men supporting Kamala Harris, thought-provoking. His emphasis on civic engagement highlights a crucial aspect of democracy: representation. While it’s essential for voters to consider candidates’ policies and character rather than just their identity, Obama’s call serves as a reminder of the historical struggles for voting rights. It challenges us to think about the broader implications of our choices and the impact of our votes in shaping a more inclusive future. Engaging in these discussions is vital as we move toward the next election.
You totally missed the context here. Obama was not giving any public lecture to Black men. He was giving input to his staff. This is exactly the kind of flawed writing we don’t need. Let’s see if you are better off with Trump in office and get back to me in four years.
You are wrong. I actually listened to what Obama said. He said he was talking to the “brothers” who were considering voting for Trump and who had not shown the same enthusiasm that was shown in the black community when he ran. He is not different than Kamala. A fraud who used our legacy to advance himself.
As a Small Business owner I always do better under Republican administrations.
Why are people like you so afraid of different points of view? The more you try to undermine free speech, the more people will rise up. Look at the college campuses.
