African Americans Should Proudly Support the Keep Nine Amendment to Protect the Integrity of the Supreme Court
The Keep Nine Amendment is essential an amendment for preserving the integrity of the United States Supreme Court, and African Americans should stand proudly in support of it. Our stance is rooted in a deep concern for safeguarding the principles of justice and the sanctity of life, particularly within the Black community.
We are alarmed by trends within the Democratic Party to politicize and undermine the judiciary through court-packing schemes. Such efforts are blatant attempts to reshape the Supreme Court to serve partisan interests, potentially endangering fundamental freedoms and constitutional principles.
Central to supporting the Keep Nine Amendment is African American conservative’s unwavering commitment to protecting the most vulnerable members of our society, including the unborn. The abortion industry has tragically targeted communities of color, perpetuating a devastating legacy within the black community. Statistics reveal a stark reality: despite representing only 13% of the female population, Black women account for nearly 40% of all abortions in the United States. This disproportionate impact is not merely a statistic; it represents the loss of countless lives and the erosion of the fabric of our communities.
Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, has contributed to the tragic loss of millions of innocent lives, disproportionately affecting communities of color. I firmly believe that abortion should have been struck down long ago, recognizing it as a form of genocide that disproportionately targets Black lives.
The Keep Nine Amendment presents a crucial opportunity to resist political maneuvering and uphold the principles of judicial independence and constitutional fidelity. By maintaining the current structure of the Supreme Court, we can defend against attempts to undermine the rights and protections guaranteed to all Americans, especially those most vulnerable among us.
In supporting the Keep Nine Amendment, African American conservatives reaffirm our commitment to promoting justice, protecting life, and preserving the integrity of our nation’s highest court. We urge all citizens, regardless of political affiliation, if black lives truly matter, to join in supporting this vital measure to safeguard our constitutional rights and values for generations to come.
