US. Money Reserve Attends Lone Sailor Awards Dinner
U.S. Money Reserve recently attended the Lone Sailor Awards Dinner put on by the Memorial Foundation of the United States Navy. U.S. Money Reserve, a company that has earned a reputation as the United States’ gold authority, has partnered with the Memorial Foundation to recognize the service of men and women who have served in the United States Navy.
A number of key personnel from the company was in attendance at the dinner, including VP of media Christol Farris, VP of communications and marketing Jim Warren, operations director Jennifer Olivier, and senior sales director Hosea Perkins. Farris issued a statement following the dinner and said that U.S. Money Reserve values the relationship it has established with the U.S. Navy. Farris went on to say that he and the company appreciate the chance to honor service members.
The partnership between U.S. Money Reserve and The Navy Memorial Foundation began in 2016 when U.S. Money Reserve launched its Pearl Harbor coin series. The U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation receives a portion of the money that is generated by the coin series. The Memorial Foundation has already used some of the money to pay for a Lone Sailor statue in Honolulu, Hawaii, at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Olivier explains that the Lone Sailor image has been used by the Navy to represent the qualities of respect, honor, and a dedication to responsibility.
The awards dinner put on by the Memorial Foundation is an annual event used to recognize recipients of the award. Each year in Washington, D.C., senior leadership members from the U.S. Navy are joined by the board of directors for the Memorial Foundation and corporate partners of the foundation. The groups join forces to honor the present years’ awardees.
The awards dinner is one of the most distinguished events taking place each year in the D.C. area. Perkins, who is a veteran of desert storm and a retired U.S. Army staff sergeant, expressed pride and humility at his invitation to attend the awards ceremony. Perkins also expressed admiration for the efforts of the Memorial Foundation. He says he is proud of his company’s partnership with the foundation.
