United Way of Central Maryland to distribute 4,200 Thanksgiving Dinners
MONDAY DISTRIBUTION TAKES PLACE AT COLONIAL BAPTIST CHURCH
As part of the United Way’s mission to ensure its neighbors in need have access to nutritious foods and healthcare, the organization has launched its 24th annual Harvest of Plenty campaign. With Harvest of Plenty, the United Way, together with other local organizations, aims to distribute 4,200 Thanksgiving dinners to low-income central Maryland families this year. The meals will be available to pre-registered families at 23 distribution centers throughout central Maryland from November 14-22.
Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Ronnie Stanley and defensive back Anthony Levine were on hand to help distribute Thanksgiving dinners to families at today’s event at Colonial Baptist Church in Randallstown, Maryland. The pair were joined in their effort by more than a dozen volunteers, as a stream of thankful families dropped by the church to claim their holiday meals.
Those wishing to contribute to Harvest of Plenty may still do so visiting the United Way of Central Maryland Harvest of Plenty online.

Baltimore Post-Examiner is run by a creative cadre of dedicated journalists – some who worked at the Washington Post, Baltimore Examiner and other regional and national publications. It’s the Post-Examiner because we love the play on the word “Post” but we are also hoping to answer that question: What’s next after newspapers? We see a lot of websites come and go – and many simply are not making it for various reasons. We have been a model of success since we launched in 2012 with “a little bit of everything” and we aim to continue to break that cycle of websites coming and going.
