Tegelbergbahn: Dangerous luge ride near Disney castle
Agent M braves the Tegelbergbahn luge ride.
After hiking around Neuschwanstein Castle for a few hours, we took a short bus ride to the Tegelbergbahn, which has a gondola lift, as well as an awesome alpine luge/coaster.
HOT TIP! If you’re driving, you can actually park at the Tegelbergbahn and hike 20-25 minutes to the castle village, which is cheaper and less crowded than parking in Hohenschwangau. Unfortunately, the gorge trail and the Marien Brücke (Mary’s Bridge) were closed when we were there, otherwise we would have hiked from the castles instead of taking the bus.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This place does not take credit cards, only cash, which we found out the hard way!
