Patrick Carroll’s Million-Dollar Mission
Philanthropist Patrick Carroll is well known for his generosity.
Six hundred pairs of trendy tennis shoes were given out in Chicago in August 2023 as part of the Kickz for Kids Campaign, just in time for back to school. This $100,000 Boys and Girls Club event was the fifth in a series of 10 for Carroll’s plan to give away $1 million in the form of tennis shoes distributed to youth in locations across the United States.
Along with new kicks, the boys and girls spent time with “Tommy Hawk” from the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears’ “Staley Da Bear,” and they enjoyed live art demos, pizza, games, and a live DJ, too!
Plus, they rubbed elbows with George Daniels, Seraphina Sanan, Toxic, Van Johnson, and Cortex Smith.
For Patrick Carroll, this journey is not only about handing out trendy tennis shoes to under-served youth in America.
This process is about so much more. It starts with putting shoes on a child’s feet and a smile on their face that plants seeds in their souls that last a lifetime.
The event in Chicago included fun activities such as games, live music, food, celebrities, and other activities and inspiring messaging from Patrick Carroll.
Those seeds encourage the child to envision a life of hope for the future. Carroll strives to instill the belief that anything is possible with hard work and determination.
He actively models living a healthy lifestyle that includes charitable giving and encourages his employees to take care of themselves and in participate in philanthropic endeavors.
According to Carroll, “There’s no better feeling than seeing the kids’ faces filled with excitement when they get a new pair of really cool sneakers. They’re surprised and so happy at the same time. I don’t know of a more genuine and fulfilling experience than I could imagine.”
Patrick Carroll didn’t go to college, but he wants kids to know that doesn’t have to mean you cannot go on to live a highly successful life if you work hard.
Kicking off the ten-spot tour started in Miami in August 2022.
While he self-funds these events, he encourages others to get involved with community engagements. In Miami, Florida, he and Instagram influencer Benjamin Kickz, handed out $100,000 (600 pairs) worth of shoes to local youth along with lots of love and encouragement.
Carroll says he wants kids to know that if he can succeed anyone can do it with hard work and a drive to succeed.
November 2022 found Patrick Carroll in Tampa, Florida at the Boys and Girls Club with another 600 pairs of shoes. Tampa is where he went to school and he says,
The Atlanta, Georgia stop in March 2023 was a special one for Carroll since this is where he launched his real estate career shortly after finishing high school. He spent the day inspiring children to reach for their dreams as he distributed $100,000 worth of shoes.
While his real estate portfolio is impressive with 30,000 residential units, he is also interested in investing in emerging technology in health and wellness opportunities.
Those who know Carroll well, know he has a special place in his heart for children. His donations to organizations like CARE For Special Children based in Brooklyn New York and Boys and Girls Clubs ensure youth have opportunities to experience life-changing opportunities to expand their horizons and receive vital care and love.
