Karina Torres née Zhironkina is a fashion model and Miss Ukraine 2012. She began her career at the age of 13 when she was approached for a casting project in Bangkok, Thailand on a 3 months contract. For 13-year-old Karina, it was once in a lifetime opportunity to explore the world beyond the realm of her small city, all while accomplishing her dream of being a fashion model.

Although her parents were initially reluctant about the offer, they agreed after being reassured about her safety and well-being. And then, there was no looking back. Karina went on to represent multiple international brands and worked with many renowned agencies, eventually leading her way to becoming Miss Fashion TV in 2007 and Miss Ukraine in 2012.

She delved into the world of entrepreneurship after realizing the immense potential that this profession held. As a mother of two children, it was a daunting challenge but Karina remained determined. She founded NIKI TV channels. The NIKI TV channels are Ukraine’s first children’s TV Channels that operate in Full HD and air English content with polyphonic professional Ukrainian dubbing. The young viewers watch premieres simultaneously with the whole world. They are also the only Ukrainian children’s TV channels to have applied age division to the content into two independent TV channels: NIKI Junior and NIKI Kids. NIKI Junior is aimed for kids aged 0-5 while NIKI Kids is aimed for kids aged 5+.
