The Binge
Well I woke up Saturday morning
Feeling kind of dazed
I must have had one too many last night
And blew my mind away
Oh, I told myself once never again
You got to change your ways
I woke up Sunday morning
Feeling kind of ashamed
For what I did to that girl last night
I don’t recall her name
Oh, I told myself once never again
You got to change your ways
I woke up Monday morning
Feeling kind of blue
The bills weren’t paid and the dog ran away
I burned my breakfast too
Oh, I told myself once never again
You got to change your ways
I woke up Tuesday morning
Late again for work
I just got in two hours ago
And I can’t find my shirt
Oh, I told myself once never again
You got to change your ways
I woke up Wednesday morning
Feeling kind of confused
I don’t recall where I parked the car
So now I’m blaming you
Oh, I told myself once never again
You got to change your ways
I woke up Thursday morning
Shocked by what I’d seen
Sitting inside these jailhouse bars
Is not the bar I need
Oh, I told myself once never again
You got to change your ways
I woke up Friday morning
Hoping it was a dream
But what the hell the weekends here
I know where I will be
Gonna go downtown for
One more round
Why don’t you come with me
