Smyth Jewlers to host free Rock The Ring Summer Concert Series

Baltimore, Md., June 6, 2016 – Smyth Jewelers, Maryland’s preeminent jeweler for more than 100 years, is saying thank you to the Baltimore community this summer with its inaugural
Rock the Ring Concert Series. On Thursday, June 23, July 21 and August 18 from 6-8 p.m., join Smyth at their Timonium location for live entertainment and refreshments from local food trucks and brewers – now that rocks! A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company, who will be onsite with a live active-duty engine.
Set in front of the world’s largest engagement ring, a life size symbol of Smyth’s signature adage “Where Maryland Gets Engaged,” the entertainment lineup includes the East Coast’s original 80s tribute band The Reagan Years (June), Maryland-born, country-raised group Drivin’ Muzzy (July) and Baltimore-based 90s rockers As If (August). Between tunes, enjoy local bites and brews from several vendors; freshly made pizza from Dizzy Cow Pizzeria and Pizza di Joey, lip-smacking barbeque from The Jolly Pig and confections from the Cream Cruiser and Flavor Cupcakery, and more! Diamondback, Waverly and Jailbreak breweries will be providing the cold ones. The street team from Z104.3 will also be joining in the fun with prizes and giveaways for the June and August events.
“This summer’s Rock the Ring Concert Series is our way of bringing together the Baltimore community for a unique, lively night out,” said Smyth Jewelers President Tom Smyth.
Free admission and parking for guests of all ages. Concert-goers may also bring their own chairs, blankets and picnic baskets and non-alcoholic beverages. No outside alcohol permitted, must be 21 or over with valid ID to be served. All concerts will take place rain or shine.
