Los Angeles-based street artist ‘Morley’ visits Baltimore to promote new book
Morley
A Los Angeles-based street artist, “Morley,” was co-featured at the Ivy Bookshop May 29th.
He was in town to promote his new book, “If You’re Reading This, There is Still Time.”
Morley’s thing is to create “bold, typographic posters, which he wheat-pastes within the urban landscape.” LA has been his home front in that artistic endeavor, although he let the audience know he once taught “for two years” at a public school in Baltimore. Frank Warren, a popular author, was also on the agenda. He lives in Germantown, MD. His latest book is “Post Secret: Confessions on Life, Death, and God.“ This is his fifth book published from his “submitted secrets process.”
The series also made the NYT’s best sellers’ list. To learn more about the Post Secret’s project and author Warren, go here.
During the program, Morley and Warren, much to the delight of the large audience, engaged in an Q&A session between themselves. Ms. CarlaJean Valluzzi introduced the authors. And, Ed Berlin, co-owner of Ivy, presented the two authors with token gifts to mark their appearance at the bookshop.
