Mamma Mia! brings music of ABBA to Hippodrome

Baltimore, MD (January 9, 2017) – Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus’ MAMMA MIA!, the smash hit musical based on the songs of ABBA, returns to the Hippodrome Theatre in its final farewell tour as part of the CareFirst® BlueCross BlueShield Hippodrome Broadway Series for a limited three-night engagement from Friday, January 13 to Sunday, January 15.

MAMMA MIA! is one of the most successful musicals of all time, the eighth longest-running show in Broadway history and one of only five musicals to have run for more than ten years on Broadway. The West End production is now in its eighteenth year. To date, MAMMA MIA! has been seen by over 60 million people worldwide in 50 productions in 16 different languages.

Inspired by the storytelling magic of ABBA’s songs from “Dancing Queen” and “S.O.S.” to “Money, Money, Money” and “Take a Chance on Me,” MAMMA MIA! is a celebration of mothers and daughters, old friends and new family found.
