Why Do I Love That Man?

Listen to this article

I went to the river and what’d I see?

My sorry ass face looking back at me

I didn’t know what to do, know what to say

So I just sat there the whole damn day

I stood up, I sat down but nothing came

I was stuck in the mud and the pouring rain

My mind went blank, I couldn’t act

Felt like I’d had a heart attack

Why do I love,  I love  that man?

Why do I love,  I love  that man?

Why do I love,   I love  that man?

I love him, that no good man

My words ran dry I couldn’t explain

Why I felt this way in spite of my pain

He’d been bad, he ran off but I didn’t care

All I could think of was I wanted him here

And I said

Why do I love,  I love that man?

Why do I love, I love that man?

Why do I love, I love that man?

I love him, that no good man

Dear lord shine your light on me

Cause he’s the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen

I want to squeeze him and hold him tight

But I know it ain’t right, it ain’t right

Why do I love,  I love that man?

Why do I love,  I love that man?

Why do I love, I love that man?

I love him, that no good man
