Field Hockey: Denison University beats Washington College

The “Big Red” team from Denison University, out of Gransville, Ohio, won a field hockey game against a very competitive Washington College team.
Chestertown, Maryland is their home base and they are known as “The Shoremen.” It wasn’t an easy win by any standards. The game was played at fabled Homewood Field on the campus of Johns Hopkins Universityunder a hot sun in Baltimore.
The fiercely played contest had to go into double overtime before Denison came out on top with the 2 to 1 victory. In the second double overtime, it was Mia Day, #2, of Denison, who punched through the winning goal.
