5 Uses For Organic CBD Oil

Cannabis oil, or more precisely CBD oil is versatile and useful. Almost everyone’s health could benefit from at least one aspect of its chief ingredient, cannabidiol.

We are going to say it again because there are still people out there who are unclear:

  • CBD oil will not make you high. The psychoactive component of cannabis, called THC, is present in only insignificant quantities (less than 0.03%) in medicinal CBD oil.
  • It is not illegal. Today, it is legal to obtain cannabis for medical usage in 25 U.S. States and the District of Columbia.

CBD oil has potential as an effective treatment for many common health issues, including anxiety, depression, acne, and heart disease.

For those with cancer and multiple sclerosis, it may even provide a natural alternative for pain and symptom relief.

Scientific research on the potential health benefits of organic CBD oil is ongoing. Recent results are encouraging.  The bulk of indications from recent studies are that CBD may provide a safe, powerful natural treatment for many health issues.

Before we get into the detail of how exactly CBD oil could be good for you, we need to talk about the word organic.

Organic CBD Oil

The exponential growth of the industry and upwards trends in demand for CBD mean that big agriculture is producing as much cannabis as it possibly can using synthetic chemicals and fertilizers.

Getting organic certification for cannabis products currently encounters some legislative hitches.  Your best bet for organic raw material is to use a reputable dispensary. It is most encouraging to see that Las Vegas will soon have a cannabis superstore where organic cannabis oil, cannabis essential oil, and other cannabis products will be readily available.

Remember that many of the CBD and hemp natural remedies and treatments below actually had their origins at the grassroots level thousands of years ago.  Science has merely corroborated the claims recently due to their surge in popularity.

Epileptic Seizures and Multiple Sclerosis

In June 2018, the FDA approved a purified form CBD (cannabidiol) (CBD) to treat seizures associated with two forms of epilepsy in patients two years of age and older.

Cannabis has shown to have positive effects on people suffering from epilepsy and multiple sclerosis. Research conducted at the University College of London has revealed that it is also effective in dealing with multiple other neurological conditions like Dravet syndrome and Parkinson’s disease. It prevents neurodegeneration and cognitive decline, thereby helping those suffering from Alzheimer’s.

People with MS report that CBD oil reduces muscle spasms and helps reduce depression, one of the symptoms of MS.

Pain

Studies suggest that CBD oil interacts with the protein cells in the body and sends chemical signals to your brain and immune system through stimuli that help the cells positively respond to chronic pain.

Any pains caused by inflammation, including chronic back pain, can be alleviated using CBD oil.

McGill University Health Centre in Canada led a survey that revealed that cannabis use results in an improvement in non-cancer pain, sleep, and mood patterns. I

People who suffer from cancer also turn to cannabis-related options, including therapeutic grade CBD oil, when the pain of chemotherapy or the disease itself becomes unbearable.

Anxiety

One of the most popular and well-known uses of pure cannabis essential oil is to get relief from stress and anxiety.

The natural compounds found in this oil are very good for releasing pleasure hormones and relaxing the mind. It also helps in reducing stress and inducing a sense of calmness and relaxation.

CBD oil works with a brain receptor called CB1, altering the serotonin levels in the body and thereby improves mental health.

Cancer

There is still some controversy over some claims regarding the benefits of CBD oil in the treatment of cancer.  There are some claims that it contributed to cancer prevention.

Time will tell since a great deal of research is being done. Early reports have shown that the active ingredients in cannabis essential oil can have preventive effects.

CBD oil can also cause a reduction in tumor size, thereby making it easier to fight cancer effectively

The presence of both THC and CBD helps in relieving the pain associated with cancer. According to some research, it also provides relief from the side effects of chemotherapy including nausea, vomiting, and anxiety.

Heart Conditions

Cannabis may prevent heart conditions such as heart attacks, atherosclerosis, stroke, hypertension, and coronary heart disease.

Given that heart conditions are a serious drain on public health systems, this is indeed encouraging news.

The Pharmacological Research journal published a 2014 study that suggests that cannabinoids cause blood vessels to relax and widen, which improves circulation and reduces blood pressure.

More research is necessary to prove the safety of cannabis for heart health since this study was the first human trial examining cannabis for heart conditions.

More, Much More

CBD Oil might as well be the wonder medication for the next century.  With positive effects being reported for everything from migraine treatment, to the improvement of acne and arthritis and benefits for patients with heart diseases, it seems that CBD will be a permanent feature in our lives from now on.

Medical Advice

The old saying that you should not try anything without first seeking the advice of a medical practitioner is still sound advice even with organic CBD oil. Except that you might want to get a second opinion and keep up to date with the latest research by following our news here on this site and other things that contribute to your wellbeing.
