Kaki West Swid – Embracing the Mommy Life While Gracing Magazine Covers

Our society goes by the notion that once you become a mom, you give up your career entirely and spend all of your time packing school lunches. This is a concept that model, actress, and mom-influencer Kaki West Swid completely rejects.

Kaki began her career as a fashion model at a young age. The prestigious Ford Modeling Agency in New York City signed her on when she was just 14. She has since walked runways all over the world, from Tokyo to NYC, and she’s appeared on over 25 magazine covers including MaximGQEsquire, and FHM.

Her world changed when she gave birth to twins, her son West Louis and daughter Lily Sophia. Caring for the babies was very difficult, but Kaki wouldn’t trade the experience for anything.

“My life has forever changed for the better, and I have never known this kind of love,” she said.

Now that her kids are a little older, Kaki has returned to her career. She works hard to do both runway shows and preschool pickups.

She considers herself a mom-influencer because of her fashion-forward Instagram account. Sometimes, she posts modeling photos with gorgeous outfits. Other times, she posts pictures of herself, her husband, and her twins. Her daughter hams it up in this picture, trying to emulate her mom. On another photo, she writes, “Lucky to be with the cutest pumpkins in the patch! I truly love being a Mommy, even hot & exhausting pumpkin patch field trips, are transformed into fun adventures through the eyes of my twins!”

Kaki West Swid has even begun new parts of her career since becoming a mom. She’s acted in multiple films and television shows, including The League (FX), The Bronx Is Burning, and Entourage. She’s even trying something completely different: writing a female-centric horror film.

Raising kids, staying glamorous, and having a successful career is difficult. However, Kaki West Swid shows us that it definitely isn’t impossible.
