Clinton chooses Va. Sen. Tim Kaine as running mate
WASHINGTON (Originally published by Talk Media News)– Presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton announced Friday evening that she has chosen Sen. Tim Kaine (D-Va.) as her vice-presidential running mate.
Clinton made the announcement via mass text to her supporters and subsequently posted a tweet confirming Kaine’s selection.
“I’m thrilled to announce my running mate, @TimKaine, a man who’s devoted his life to fighting for others,” Clinton tweeted.
Kaine previously served as Virginia’s governor and is widely viewed as a moderate who could help Clinton emerge victorious in the Old Dominion as well as other swing states.
