The Searchlight is Oxon Hill High School’s student-run media outlet and is part of OHHS’ journalism program, which consists of Journalism 1 – Introduction to Journalism, and Journalism 2 – Newspaper. The journalism classes seek to uphold the school’s mission to “provide a quality education that develops the content knowledge, skills, and attitudes that will enable all students to reach their maximum potential as responsible, life-long learners and productive citizens.”
