Again! Three more cops killed

It can’t be, am I hearing this right?   Followed by a series of expletives.

That’s what I asked myself when I heard the news Sunday that more cops were killed and wounded, this time in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Baton Rouge Police Officer, Montrell Jackson, 32 killed. Baton Rouge Police Officer, Matthew Gerald, 41 killed. East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Deputy, Brad Garafola, 45 killed.

Another police officer and a deputy suffered non-life threatening wounds.

East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Deputy, Nicholas Tullien, 41 who was shot in the head and chest, is currently in intensive care, fighting for his life.

These were ambush attacks and assassinations of law enforcement officers, plain and simple.

It’s bad enough when cops in this country get killed on the job, but targeting law enforcement for nothing more than who they are and what they represent is appalling.

A dangerous trend that has to stop.

Any individual or group that calls for the killing of police officers, either verbally or on websites on the Internet should become the subject of scrutiny and investigation by local, state and federal officers.

Enough said on that in this article, more for a later time.
