Power Out or Downed Wire?

When reporting a power outage, your call goes directly to our trouble processing center for response. The system works by matching your phone number to your account, so it's important that we have your current phone number on file. If you move or change phone numbers, you can use our online account management service to update your phone number. You can also call BGE at 800.685.0123 to update your phone number. Please have your account number available when you call.

How the outage summary works
The outage summary updates every 15-30 minutes. The numbers you see are an estimate of outages at any given time and the number of customers whose service has been restored on BGE's system since the start of the adverse weather or storm. The numbers usually fluctuate, particularly during restoration efforts. While the report is generally a close representation of the number of outages and number of customers restored, BGE relies on your phone calls to determine the exact cause and location of an outage. Every outage call is important, so please use our outage phone number if your power is interrupted.
