Christkindlmarkt to be held this weekend

Baltimore, Maryland, November 2015–Zion Church of the City of Baltimore and the Baltimore Kickers announce its 18th annual Christkindlmarkt to be held Saturday, November 28 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 29 from 11:00 a.m-4:00 p.m.

The Christkindlmarkt is reminiscent of Christmas markets prevalent in Germany during the Advent season. Traditional German food and “Gluehwein” (mulled wine) will be for sale, and the market also features a German Christmas store selling Lebkuchen, Stollen, Marzipan and other German holiday delicacies. Other attractions include vendors selling gift items, a train garden, presentations of holiday music and tours of the historic church building.

Price: Adults: $2.00 / Children under 12: Free.

Zion Church of the City of Baltimore is a bilingual congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America founded in 1755. Zion has proven a steady presence to Lutherans in Maryland and to people of all backgrounds in the city, with its worship and music traditions, a dynamic educational program, and a flair for hospitality.
