Reader supports NRA’s proposal to arm schools with guns

Dear Editor,

I don’t think the NRA proposal is bad at all  Front Sight in Arizona has been training any teacher or school administrator from Texas for free what they need to be armed and a company in central Arkansas has offered free training.

I work for a public school district in the Technology department, I retired from the Army after 33 years and I am qualified with a dozen different weapons and I have a concealed weapons permit, but not allowed to even have a weapon locked in my vehicle on school property, which to me is very stupid.

In case of an incidence like just happened myself or one of the other dozen or so people who also work for the district could very well have prevented or at least stopped it before it progressed as far as it did.
