Portrait Photographer Rodney Torres captures the engagement pictures of Karen Gallman

Rodney Torres (@rodney), the celebrity photographer who had recently taken the publicity photos and official movie poster of the controversial movie “Jaqueline Comes Home,” had captured the engagement photos of Karen Gallman. The Filipino-Australian Beauty Queen is Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2018 crown holder who recently got engaged to her longtime boyfriend Ian Garton. She announced her engagement on her Instagram account. Karen just spent her vacation in Europe and has posted several photos of the lovely couple’s romantic getaway from the trip. She is seen wearing the engagement ring in the photos.

Rodney Torres, the photographer who had shot her studio pictures along with her fiancé Ian, is primarily based in Manila, Philippines. Within a short span of time after starting his career as a professional photographer in mid-2017, Rodney was able to showcase his talent. Since then, he has already shot several major celebrities, such as Ryza Cenon, Louise Delos Reyes, Michelle Gumabao, Marco Gumabao, Donnalyn Bartolome, Meg Imperial, and Yohan Hwang, to name a few.

Rodney captured the engagement pictures of Karen and Ian two months ago and has garnered thousands of social media likes and shares even on local news sites. Rodney Torres uses his specialty and technical skills in lighting studio strobes in capturing the stunning images of the newly engaged couple. Soon after completing the engagement assignment, Rodney got hired by VIVA Artists Agency and VIVA Films to shoot the official movie poster photos and publicity images for the movie “Jaqueline Comes Home.” This has proven to be a highly controversial movie based on the real-life case concerning the kidnap, rape, and murder of the Chiong sisters from Cebu City, Philippines.

During the earlier days of Rodney Torres, he was primarily a businessman and pursued photography primarily as a stress reliever. Soon he started taking travel photos and got really hooked in it. However, he shifted his attention to taking photos of people and became really encouraged by the feedback he has received. He started printing his own photos and got disappointed with the quality of the prints. However, he soon shifted his attention to gallery prints that captured his attention and eagerness in printing photos.

After graduating from Ateneo de Manila University with a degree in AB Communications, Rodney Torres worked for Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc as a sales analyst then becoming a key accounts sales executive. He then worked for San Miguel Corporation – Centralized Key Accounts Group. These experiences helped him become a successful businessman particularly when he opened Giclee Manila a few years ago. He was the one who brought awareness and innovation to fine art print photography industry in the country. It was in the year 2012 when he launched and introduced Giclee printing technology to the Philippines by starting Giclee Manila – the Philippines’ premier large format fine art print provider. The prints being produced by Rodney Torres and Giclee Manila are expected to be fade-resistant and last up to a lifetime. At present, Giclee Manila is the exclusive distributor of Hahneluhle, Moab Paper, Canson Infinity, Somerset media, and Breathing Color in the entire Philippines.

Rodney holds an IPA certification in Color Management – Professional. He has also produced multiple prints of several artists, celebrities, photographers, hotels, and top corporations in the city of Manila. This also includes the FIBA Asia Basketball tournaments and NBA exhibition games in the capital of Philippines.
